The Package Myth: When Blokes Obsess Over Hardware – Part 2 – The Myths

Since knowledge is power, let's get to know the male reproductive organ a little more…intimately, shall we? Time to debunk a few myths that refuse to die.
Myth 1: There's a bone in the penis
Believe it or not, in this day and age some people still reckon there's an actual bone in there contributing to erections. It doesn't help that we enthusiastically throw around the word 'boner' every time the penis stands to attention, and the tension and contraction felt in the groin could certainly convince its owner that bone is involved. Alas, myth thoroughly quashed—though it might come as a surprise that quite a number of animals, our ape cousins included, actually do have a penis bone-like structure called a 'baculum'. Just not humans. Clearly Mother Nature has a wicked sense of humour.
Myth 2: The penis is made of muscle
Some believe that the more you use it, the bigger and stronger it'll become. Once again, no. The tissue forming all the different elements of the penis is actually more sponge-like, and there's no equivalent of a penis weight workout at the gym that'll have any effect on length or girth. The hardness comes from the sponge filling with blood until it's taut and ready for action—think less bodybuilding, more… well, balloon animal. If only it were that simple.
Myth 3: Those dodgy adverts actually work
The ones promising you can make your penis longer and larger if you just click that link on Pornhub and hand over cash for a magic 'pill' guaranteeing eternal, never-ending hard-ons. Let's be crystal clear here: these are scams. At best, they're a waste of money. At worst, they can seriously damage your health. Do not, under any circumstances, be led to believe any of this nonsense is true.
These are just three of the surprisingly common myths both sexes believe that I've come across. They might sound funny, but the underlying message to men and penis owners is, once again, that a 'good' penis must be always hard, always big, always long in order to qualify you as a 'real man'. And that's the biggest myth of all.
It's simply not true, and the sooner we move away from these harmful messages, the sooner we can start focusing on what's the real game changer: pleasure instead of performance.
